The procedure is performed by gently gliding a dermaplane tool across the skin, removing the outermost layer of the skin cells from the face. As a byproduct, it also removes vellus hairs, however the hair will grow back at the same rate and texture as before (not darker or thicker, as sometimes is the concern).
